Why you need traditional SEO and AI SEO running together.
Most agencies still pitch "SEO" as if Google's classic blue-link results are the only game in town. They are not. Roughly a third of search journeys for higher-intent questions now end inside an AI answer, an AI Overview, or a ChatGPT recommendation. Treating that as a separate problem from your Google ranking is a mistake, because the two share the same underlying inputs.
Generative engine optimisation, answer engine optimisation, GEO, AEO, AI SEO: different names, same job. Make sure that when a large language model is asked who the best web design agency in Lincolnshire is, or which conveyancing firm handles freehold-to-leasehold work in Grimsby, your business is one of the names it surfaces with confidence.
The mechanics are not mysterious. AI models learn what they "know" from a mix of training data and live retrieval. The signals that influence both are the same signals Google has rewarded for years, just weighted differently: consistent entity definition (your business should be the same business in every directory, schema block and listing), factual content with clear answers to clear questions, citation patterns across authoritative third-party sites, and brand mentions on pages the AI is already reading.

Methodology
How we actually run SEO.
Every retainer is led by Anita Jackson, our SEO Lead. Anita scopes the programme, runs the monthly cadence, and is the named owner on every report you receive. No invisible team of juniors. No anonymous account handler.
Crawl, log-file analysis where available, core web vitals, schema validation, index hygiene, redirect graph, internal link graph. Every retainer starts here, even if the previous agency claimed to have done it. We have yet to take over a site that did not have at least one significant technical issue holding it back.
Titles, meta descriptions, heading hierarchy, schema markup, internal linking, image alt text, and entity-stable copy across the site. Boring but load-bearing. The work that makes everything downstream more effective.
A monthly content cadence written by people who can actually write, mapped to the search terms that bring buyers rather than browsers. We prioritise the queries that move revenue, not the ones that pad a rankings report.

From a few hundred pounds per month. Single-location service businesses competing in a defined catchment: trades, sole-practitioner solicitors, independent retailers, owner-managed B2B. The fixed packages on this page (Essential and Professional) sit in this band.
Multi-office or regional
Roughly £1,000–£2,500 per month. Businesses with multiple locations, multiple practice areas, or competing in regional rather than purely local searches. The Enterprise package on this page is built for this band.
Competitive national or sector-led
Multi-thousand monthly retainers, often into five figures for the most aggressive briefs. National e-commerce, sector consolidators, comparison and lead-gen sites, and enterprise B2B. These are priced after a discovery call, not from a published rate card. Ask us for a quote.

SEO is a long game, but most clients start seeing measurable ranking improvements within 3-4 months. The setup phase fixes immediate issues, and the monthly activity compounds over time. By month 6 you should see meaningful traffic and lead increases.
Google rewards consistency. One month of SEO work has minimal impact. Six months of sustained activity builds the authority and content that delivers lasting results. We don't want to take your money for something that won't work in a shorter timeframe.
